The Blue Anchor are seeking a talented and passionate Chef/Cook to join our culinary team at an exciting time when we are developing our menu. The ideal candidate will have high standards and a strong sense of pride in the work they produce with background in food preparation and cooking. Experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment would be a bonus. As a Chef/Cook, you will be responsible for creating delicious meals that meet our high standards of quality and presentation while ensuring food safety and hygiene practices are adhered to.
Duties
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to the menu and customer preferences.
* Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan menus, taking into account seasonal ingredients and customer feedback.
* Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
* Serve meals in an appealing manner, ensuring presentation meets restaurant standards.
Skills
* Experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen setting.
* Strong culinary skills with a passion for creating high-quality meals.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
* Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
* Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
