JOB DESCRIPTION Casual cover PA Hours. A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF I’m a 43 year-old woman living in Taffs Well. I have various health conditions, one of which is lymphoedema. I wear compression socks for this and need assistance putting them on and to assist me to shower in the mornings. I enjoy arts and crafts, movies, music and swimming. I also like a chat and have a good sense of humour.
Purpose and Location
Purposes of the Job: I’m looking to hire a personal assistant for home-based duties. Place of Work: At my home in Taffs Well.
Hours and Pay
Hours of Work: Between 2 and 12 hours per week over 7 days to cover my other PA’s for sick or holiday cover. Rates of Pay: £14.30 per hour.
Responsibilities
* Assisting me with household duties including washing, dressing, cooking, changing bedding and taking the bins out
* Putting on / taking off my compression stockings
* Applying cream
* Preparing meals
* Washing up dishes
* Changing the bedding as and when required
* Taking out the bins
* Personal care when showering
Requirements
* Must be trustworthy, reliable and punctual
* Friendly/chatty
* Patient and who can take their time as I can’t be rushed
Employment Conditions
This position is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS Disclosure (Police Check), which must be completed prior to the commencement of employment. The cost of this check will be covered by the Local Authority. All necessary checks will be conducted to verify that any candidate has the legal right to work in the UK before employment begins. Although this is a part-time role, it is a legitimate position requiring the submission of a National Insurance number. Employment will commence under an initial trial period. Wages will be paid monthly and appropriate holiday pay will be provided.
