Job Description:
Marine & Energy Reinsurance Broker
Primarily responsible for growing and defending revenue alongside senior members of our M&E Reinsurance team, focusing on international treaty business and broader specialty treaty reinsurance, by:
* Leading client and market engagement throughout the reinsurance placement process and during the lifecycle of engagement.
* Crafting and delivering new reinsurance opportunities and growing revenue with existing clients.
* Playing an active role in client teams and project groups to deliver strategic growth initiatives, respond to tenders, and handle high-value deals.
* Serving as a trusted advisor on subject matter issues both internally and externally.

Key Accountabilities
* Developing Aon’s market position by building relationships with reinsurance buyers, decision-makers, and client contacts.
* Deepening relationships with P&I clients at a senior level.
* Identifying growth opportunities within existing protections and facilities.
* Understanding client needs and leveraging resources across Aon.
* Building relationships with reinsurers and understanding market dynamics.
* Representing Aon on industry committees and working groups.
* Collaborating with teams to develop reinsurance strategies and facilitate placements.
* Managing P&I placements and negotiations.
* Advising clients on placement design, coverage, pricing, and market conditions.
* Negotiating terms with the market.
* Leading strategic initiatives and client projects across specialties.
* Supporting analysis and research for market presentations and strategies.
Experience, Knowledge & Skills
* Protection and Indemnity knowledge, including clubs and contracts.
* Minimum of 5 years in (re)insurance broking, underwriting, or technical roles.
* Strong negotiation and communication skills.
* Ability to understand underwriter perspectives and innovate solutions.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Education/Professional Qualifications
* Desirable: 2:1 degree, Advanced Diploma in Insurance (ACII), or relevant education.
