An established and welcoming primary school in Birmingham is seeking a Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025 through to July 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to build classroom confidence, develop practical skills, and play a key role in supporting young learners across the primary age range.
About the Role
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Support class teachers in delivering fun, engaging, and age-appropriate lessons across the primary curriculum
* Work with pupils both 1:1 and in small groups to provide targeted academic support
* Assist with classroom organisation and behaviour management to promote a positive learning environment
* Support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping to meet their individual academic and emotional needs
* Help with preparing learning materials and contribute to lesson planning and classroom activities
* Foster a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere where every child feels safe, supported, and encouraged
Who We’re Looking For
* A recent or upcoming graduate (minimum 2:1) – degrees in Education, Psychology, or related fields are particularly welcome
* Someone with a genuine interest in working with children and supporting their development
* A patient, proactive, and enthusiastic individual with a strong work ethic
* Previous experience in a school or with young people is a plus, but not essential
* Full-time availability from September 2025 through to July 2026
