This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Senior or Principal Scientist to lead the establishment and execution of innovative translational preclinical models, contribute to client success, and shape the future of preclinical research at Pharmidex.

Key Responsibilities:
\t•\tTake a lead role in establishing, developing, and validating preclinical models in-house – with a focus on respiratory disease, oncology, and infection.
\t•\tServe as Study Director, managing studies from planning and execution through to data reporting and scientific interpretation.
\t•\tCoordinate and maintain a safe, compliant, and well-organised laboratory environment.
\t•\tSupport and supervise technical staff across all preclinical projects.
\t•\tEngage with clients and collaborators to ensure successful delivery of studies and ongoing relationships.
\t•\tContribute to internal project reviews, innovation initiatives, and cross-functional discussions.

Your Background:
\t•\tDegree (BSc/MSc/PhD) in Biological Sciences, Pharmacology, or a related life sciences discipline.
\t•\tMinimum 3 - 5 years of hands-on preclinical experience in a pharma, biotech, or academic translational research setting.
\t•\tDemonstrable experience in developing and running preclinical Respiratory or Oncology models.
\t•\tHold or have previously held a Home Office Personal Licence (PIL Modules 1–3 or equivalent).
\t•\tProven ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams and independently manage projects.
\t•\tFamiliarity with preclinical techniques including multiple administration routes.
\t•\tCompetent in data analysis using GraphPad Prism, SPSS, or similar software.
\t•\tExperience of managing large and complex studies with good documentation and planning skills.
\t•\tFlexible and willing to conduct occasional out-of-hours work to meet study needs.

Desirable (not essential):
\t•\tExperience with preclinical imaging techniques (e.g. IVIS, microCT).
\t•\tPractical expertise in cell culture or ex-vivo sample analysis.
\t•\tBackground in GLP or regulatory-aligned studies.
\t•\tPrevious exposure to client-facing roles or project oversight in a CRO setting.
