What You'll Do: As an Engineer in Warrington, you will be expected to operate within ISO 5 & ISO 7 clean rooms while using personal respirator hood PPE for your daily tasks. Your responsibilities will include performing PMs, calibrations, and servicing essential equipment, overseeing contractors, FSE, and service providers, and managing your personal work requirements. Embracing a philosophy of minimising downtime and enhancing availability during automation breakdowns is crucial, as is ensuring the safe utilisation of workshop tools. A genuine enthusiasm for learning and applying Life Science instruments along with proficiency in CMMS is essential, as well as maintain lab, manufacturing, and workshop equipment; Perform changeovers on key manufacturing tools and mentor apprentice colleagues, follow GDP standards. You will also participate in equipment changeovers, lead PPI methodology, maintain operational rigour, and show adaptive leadership. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Adhere to EHS policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy workplace. Experience working in an ISO13485 certified environment. PLC experience is ideal. Robotics and automation experience is desirable. Pneumatic knowledge and experience are essential. Education: Engineering modern apprenticeship/time served (e.g., City & Guilds/BTEC/NVQ Level 3). Minimum HNC qualification in engineering. Proven and validated experience post-HNC. Multi-skilled (Electrical/Mechanical). Clear engineering career goals. Experience in implementing change, process improvement, and cost reduction. Work Environment: Capability to autonomously handle workload within the activities outlined by the Manager.
