Overview
Programmatic SEO Lead - Pexels & Pixabay. This role focuses on designing and scaling programmatic SEO architecture that serves millions of search pages, supports large content libraries, and adapts to rapid product development at Canva.
Responsibilities
* Lead the SEO strategy across Pexels and Pixabay — driving long-term, sustainable growth through search.
* Own technical SEO architecture: optimize internal linking, crawlability, page performance, structured data, and indexation across millions of programmatic pages.
* Collaborate with product and engineering to shape roadmaps that improve SEO foundations without compromising user experience or platform performance.
* Integrate SEO strategy with product development, ensuring new experiences — such as AI search interfaces — are optimized for SEO.
* Prepare platforms for discovery in LLM-driven search: optimize entity relationships, structured data, canonicalization, and embedding strategies to increase relevance in conversational and generative search engines.
* Audit, diagnose, and resolve complex SEO issues—from content duplication to JavaScript rendering to international targeting.
* Build scalable systems to monitor search visibility, page performance, crawl health, and competitive benchmarking.
* Stay ahead of algorithm updates and search interface shifts, particularly those driven by Google’s AI Overviews, ChatGPT-style browsing, and vertical-specific LLM agents.
You\'re probably a match if
* You have deep expertise in technical and programmatic SEO, ideally for platforms with large-scale content libraries like media libraries, marketplaces, or aggregators.
* You’ve managed millions of landing pages and owned the end-to-end SEO infrastructure that supports them.
* You understand SEO data pipelines, structured data (such as Schema.org), and how crawl and index mechanics work at scale.
* You collaborate fluently with engineering and product teams, and can build a strong business case for SEO investments.
* You’re comfortable using tools like Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, Log File Analysis, BigQuery, or similar.
* You thrive in ambiguity and know how to drive SEO strategy forward in fast-changing environments.
About The Team
