Responsibilities
Visitor service and engagement on-site:
* To be an ambassador for the client, maintaining a smart and professional appearance and providing a proactive and warm welcome for all visitors at various locations within museum.
* To staff the clients Visitor Engagement points
* To proactively engage with and assist visitors in how best to maximize their enjoyment of the collection by responding to a wide range of enquiries about the clients collection, buildings, events and activities and type of services available.
* To respond to face-to-face complaints and feedback, taking prompt and appropriate action to resolve any issues.
* Welcome booked school groups, group leaders and families.
* To bid a warm farewell to all visitors, actively seeking feedback and encouraging repeat visitation.
Visitor Communications:
* Liaise with other departments regarding visitor information, ticketing and membership content to ensure that it is kept up-to-date and accurate.
* Contribute to shaping visitor information in various forms, ensuring polite, professional and consistent tone of voice and presentation style which responds to visitor’s needs and reflects the clients brand.

Qualifications
Essential:
* Able to work well in a team as well as using own initiative and creativity, all the time maintaining a positive and flexible solutions-focused approach.
* Able to build credibility and rapport with others quickly, gaining cooperation and working effectively across the organisation.
* Right to work in the UK and have a five-year checkable history
* High personal presentation standards.
* Punctual, reliable and flexible to changing departmental and visitor needs.
* Able to collate feedback to assist the development and generation of new ideas or approaches in order to continuously improve the visitor experience.
* Demonstrable ability to act in ways that supports equality and values diversity, including treating all those you come into contact with, with courtesy and respect irrespective of background.
