About the Role - Senior Day Coach (Ninfield)
Joining SuperCare's new Learning Disabilities home in Ninfield means helping shape the foundations of a warm, stable and highly specialised environment for children with complex needs. Many of the young people you'll support may be autistic, non-verbal, have ADHD or ASC, epilepsy, Down syndrome or global developmental delay.
As a Senior Day Coach (Support Worker), you'll bring experience, confidence and calm leadership to the floor. You won't lead shifts, but you'll act as the go-to mentor for newer staff, modelling best practice, supporting with complex behaviours, and ensuring every child receives safe, predictable and therapeutic care.

What You'll Do
You'll balance frontline care with guiding others:
* Support children with ASD, ADHD, ASC or Global Development Delay who may struggle with communication, regulation, transitions or sensory needs.
* Assist non-verbal young people using communication aids, visual tools or alternative communication methods.
* Monitor children with epilepsy or other health needs and follow individual care plans.
* Encourage routines around personal care, hygiene, mealtimes, learning and daily activities.
* Respond calmly to dysregulation, meltdowns or behaviours that challenge.
* Share your expertise with junior staff, modelling safe, consistent practice.
* Support colleagues during incidents or emotional moments with steady, confident guidance.
* Keep detailed records and ensure care plans are followed accurately.
* Drive young people to activities, appointments and community outings (full UK licence strongly desired due to the rural location).

What We're Looking For
To join as a Senior Day Coach, you must already bring solid experience and real confidence in Learning Disability support:
* Level 3 Diploma in Children's Residential Care (or equivalent) - essential.
* 1-2 years minimum experience in residential childcare.
* Experience supporting children with autism, ADHD, ASC, non-verbal communication, epilepsy, Down syndrome or global developmental delay.
* Skilled in de-escalation, consistent routines and helping children regulate.
* Able to mentor and guide junior colleagues through challenging moments.
* Reliable, proactive, patient and emotionally steady.
* Strong communication skills and able to build trust with children who communicate differently.
* Full UK driving licence desired due to remote location of the home.

Competitive Salaries
* During Probation: £15.43/hr on weekdays, £17.91/hr on weekends (Avr. £30,000 per annum)
* Post Probation: £16.54/hr on weekdays, £19.29/hr on weekends (Avr. £32,000 per annum)

We operate a consistent pod-based rota to support a healthy work-life balance:
* Day rota: 1 day on, 2 days off (7:30am-10:30pm)
