SEN Learning Support Assistant – Full-Time Opportunity

Pay: £90–£110 per day (based on experience)

An inclusive and welcoming school in Bushey is looking to appoint a committed SEN Learning Support Assistant to join their team from February 2026. The school has a strong reputation for providing high-quality support to pupils with a range of special educational needs, ensuring every child feels valued, confident, and able to succeed.
The Role
This is a full-time, term-time position ideal for someone who is caring, adaptable, and eager to make a meaningful impact in the classroom. Working alongside teachers and the SEN department, you will support pupils both academically and emotionally, helping them engage positively with learning and school life.
Main Duties
* Provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with a variety of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, communication difficulties, and learning needs.
* Assist pupils in achieving targets outlined in their individual learning plans.
* Adapt classroom resources and activities to suit different learning styles and abilities.
* Encourage positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and social interaction.
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and outside agencies to provide consistent support.
* Help create a safe, organised, and inclusive classroom setting.
* Support assessment, observations, and pupil progress reviews where required.
Candidate Requirements
* Experience supporting children or young people with SEN is preferred.
* A patient, empathetic, and positive attitude.
* Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
* A genuine interest in supporting children with additional learning needs.
* An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
* Relevant SEN qualifications or training would be advantageous but are not essential.
