The role
On behalf of our client, Grand River Personnel is searching for great candidates for Shipper/Receiver positions in CAMBRIDGE.
The selected candidate must have a Valid Forklift License (not ‘in-house’) and a minimum of 1 year experience in shipping and receiving.
These are CONTRACT positions with potential for perm.
Shift Hours – on all shifts: Days – 7:-3:pm, Afternoons- 3:pm-:pm, Nights- :pm-7:am
Pay Rate: $./hour + 4% vacation pay added to each cheque weekly!
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role.Valid forklift license/certificationFamiliar with shipping processes, obtaining freight quotesProficient with MS Office Programs, Shipping interfacesAbility to work in a safety conscious manner and perform safety inspections of ForkliftAttention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication in EnglishCSA Approved FootwearReliable, punctual and dependable with a great attitudeResponsibilities:
Prepare customer orders for shipment and handle basic shipping paperwork and courier arrangements.Help keep inventory accurate by counting materials, restocking items, and maintaining tidy storage areas.Keep the warehouse clean and organized each day, including sweeping, putting items back where they belong, and maintaining general order.Move materials and completed products around the facility, and wrap or remove items at the end of production runs.Complete simple administrative tasks such as filing or paperwork when required.Take part in workplace improvement efforts, including safety, organization, and efficiency projects.Operate a forklift safely once trained.If you have good experience in Shipping/ Receiving and a valid forklift license, apply today!
