Join our supportive, friendly team to provide high quality stroke rehab in people's homes as part of an MDT. This post is fixed term to cover a secondment so could suit someone with a passion for aphasia rehab and wanting to give community work a try.
Previous experience of working as a registered clinician is preferred but support would be given to develop your skills regardless of experience.
We are looking for someone who can make a real difference to people after stroke, loves providing meaningful rehab on goals that are important to the person and is a great team player.
We are dedicated to providing learning opportunities and regular supervision with our highly skilled team.

Main duties of the job
* To provide specialist speech and language therapy assessment, diagnosis and treatment to adults with communication and swallowing problems within the adult SLT service and stroke team
* To work independently with the support and supervision of clinical leads
* To work in patients' homes and community
* To work as an integrated member of the SLT team and stroke team
* To work with members of the multidisciplinary stroke team, including nursing, therapists, and assistant staff
* To be involved in ongoing training to the multidisciplinary team.
* To be part of a wider network of SLTs in Sirona including peer supervision and support

Skills, Knowledge, Experience
* Knowledge of SLT theory and best practice
* Knowledge of standards and guidelines relating to SLT and stroke
* Competent in SLT assessment and interventions with a range of conditions
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
* Relevant experience of working with adults
* Experience in community rehab
* Experience in stroke rehab
Qualifications
* Degree/diploma in Speech and Language Therapy
* HCPC registration
