Senior CNC Programmer – Precision Engineering

We are supporting a well-established precision engineering company in their search for a Senior CNC Programmer to lead and develop their machining operations. This is a key, hands-on role for an experienced professional with advanced Fusion 360 CAM programming skills, strong shopfloor knowledge, and a passion for mentoring others.
You’ll be working across a range of 3-, 4-, and 5-axis Haas milling machines as well as 2-axis lathes, producing complex components for clients in multiple industries.
Key Requirements:
Experience programming with Fusion 360 CAM
Hands-on machining experience (mills and lathes)
Strong knowledge of setup, tooling selection, workholding, and optimisation
Ability to estimate machining time and resources for prototypes and small batch work
Confident leading a small team and sharing best practices
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills
Responsibilities:
Create CNC programs using Fusion 360 from 3D models and drawings
Set up and operate Haas mills (3/4/5-axis) and Haas lathe (2-axis)
Produce one-off and small batch precision components
Support accurate quoting by providing realistic machining and programming times
Mentor junior machinists and uphold quality standards
Contribute to continuous improvement within the workshop
