The Role
We are seeking a Junior Civil/Structural Engineer with some experience to join our growing team. Strong graduates will also be considered.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a wide variety of projects and play an active role from concept through to completion, while receiving support towards professional development and Chartership (ICE/IStructE).
Key Responsibilities
* Ability to write reports and understanding of planning applications
* Assist with projects from conception through to completion
* Assess and interpret project requirements
* Undertake design work across civil and structural disciplines
* Prepare technical documents, reports, and calculations
* Produce drawings and plans for planning applications and construction
* Liaise with clients, contractors, and other professionals
* Agree timescales and specifications with clients and project managers
* Contribute to multidisciplinary project teams
* Work towards professional qualifications/Chartership and maintain CPD training
Requirements
Essential:
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Confident and professional approach when liaising with clients and contractors
* BEng/BSc Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Good attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work
* Strong time management and organisational skills
* Experience using Microsoft Office
Desirable:
* Experience with AutoCAD, MasterSeries, TEDDS or similar software
* Ability to produce design calculations and technical drawings
* Understanding of planning applications and report writing
* MEng/MSc Degree in Civil or Structural Engineerin
