We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our leading insurance business. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and maintenance of our data infrastructure and architecture.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient data management and processing and contribute to the development of innovative data-driven solutions.
The successful candidate will possess a strong technical background, ideally with proficiency in:
* a programming language (preferably Python).
* a data processing platform (Databricks, Spark, Snowflake).
* building CI/CD pipelines.
* In-depth knowledge of SQL.

About the role
* Design and implement scalable and robust data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
* Evaluate and select appropriate tools and technologies to enhance data processing capabilities.
* Develop and maintain documentation on data integration processes, data flows, and data lineage.
* Implement and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
* Stay current with industry trends and advancements in data engineering, recommending, and adopting best practices.

* The successful candidate will be experienced in data engineering, with a focus on data pipeline development and data integration.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to analyse complex data sets and identify patterns and trends.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
