We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a warm and inclusive primary/secondary school (adjust depending on setting) in Bournemouth this September. About the Role: As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and the SENCo to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and learning challenges. You’ll help create a positive learning environment where every child feels safe, valued, and supported. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils with special educational needs. Assist with implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies. Support children’s emotional, social, and educational development. Help adapt learning materials and classroom activities to meet individual needs. Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. What We’re Looking For: Experience working with children with special educational needs (preferred but not essential). A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach. Strong communication and teamwork skills. A relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent) is desirable. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils.
