Cirium helps organisations across aviation make informed decisions using reliable data and analytics. Our aim is to keep the world connected by improving how the industry understands what has happened, what is happening now, and what may happen next.
About the Team
You’ll join a supportive, collaborative team that builds and runs the systems that power Cirium’s products. We enable trusted data to move through the Cirium Data Platform (CDP), and we work closely with partners across product, engineering, architecture and security to improve how data is onboarded, governed and delivered.
About the Role
As Product Owner for a platform team at the centre of the Cirium Data Platform (CDP), you’ll help shape and deliver improvements that enable high‑quality data to be used across Cirium. You’ll prioritise the backlog, align stakeholders and dependencies, and work with a distributed Agile team to turn needs into clear user stories and epics supporting data delivery through channels such as files, APIs and our data warehouse.
Responsibilities
* Own and communicate the goal for each release, keeping the team aligned on outcomes.
* Build and prioritise the product backlog with input from stakeholders and the delivery team.
* Write and refine user stories and epics, including acceptance criteria and a clear definition of done.
* Facilitate Agile ceremonies (planning, stand‑ups, reviews and retrospectives) and support continuous improvement.
* Coordinate across product, design, engineering, security and QA to manage dependencies and delivery risks.
* Plan sprint and release capacity with the team and keep priorities realistic and transparent.
* Balance new delivery with platform reliability and technical debt reduction.
Requirements
* Experience working as a Product Owner (or in a similar role) in a software or data environment.
* Comfortable engaging with data as a product.
* Confidence collaborating with engineers and stakeholders to turn needs into clear, testable user stories.
* Working knowledge of Agile delivery (e.g., Scrum or Kanban) and a practical approach to prioritisation.
* Familiarity with tools such as Jira is helpful, but not required; we can support you to learn.
