Graduate Process Engineer Water / Leeds (Summer 2026 starts)
Join AECOM as a Graduate Process Engineer to work on a challenging mix of projects in water and wastewater engineering.
AECOM is a leading provider of professional and technical support to the water industry, local government, and private developers. We are looking for a talented Process Engineer with proven technical capacity to join our water team.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within a dynamic team on a variety of projects, including:
* Process flow diagrams and mass balance calculations
* Development and completion of process engineering calculations
* Survey and assessments of existing process/equipment
* Feasibility and Optioneering Studies for wastewater treatment processes
* Technical secretary or scribe in HAZOP meetings with clients
* Effective communication with clients and key stakeholders
* Ensuring all technical documents and data are prepared and structured in accordance with relevant design standards and legislation
Qualifications:
* Degree educated (MEng or MSc) or equivalent in Chemical Engineering or similar
* Ambition to work towards Chartered Engineer status with IChemE or CIWEM
* Excellent report writing, communication, and teamwork skills
* Willingness to travel to meet the needs of specific projects is desirable
* Analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and creative thinking
