As a Platform Engineer, you'll join a collaborative team including Cloud, DevOps, and Site Reliability Engineers, all focused on enabling secure, efficient, and resilient digital services.
You'll play a pivotal role in designing, building, and evolving internal platforms that empower our System, Product, and Delivery teams to develop, deploy, and operate digital and data services with speed, safety, and consistency. With a strong product mindset, you'll simplify complexity, abstract infrastructure, and create self-service capabilities that make it easy for engineers to do the right thing by default.

* Partner with Cloud and SRE teams to improve service stability and cost efficiency.
* Implement and enforce cloud governance policies for security, cost, and compliance.
* Develop a self-service catalogue of standardised infrastructure patterns and services.
* Integrate observability tooling for logging, metrics, and tracing.
* Establish frameworks and automation for fast, safe, and repeatable application deployments.
* Lead the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
* Trial new tools and technologies to improve ways of working and contribute to the strategic roadmap.

* Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Bicep or Terraform).
* Experience with CI/CD and automation (Azure DevOps pipelines).
* Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
* Understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native architectures.
* Strong collaboration and communication skills.
* Platform-as-a-Product mindset with curiosity and adaptability.
* Ability to analyse complex systems and identify performance bottlenecks.
