We have an exciting role on offer within our Resident and Business service as a Revenues and Benefits Technical Support Officer. About Us We are excited to announce an opportunity within Resident and Business Support for a Revenues and Benefits Technical Support Officer. The Revenues and Benefits Service provides vital functions to the Council in the billing and collection of Council Tax and Business Rates, and the assessment and payment of Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction. Aligned with the Council’s values, you will handle complaints, Councillor enquiries, and appeals against Revenues and Benefits decisions (including Tribunal attendance). You will also represent the Council in court for recovery matters, and progress bankruptcy, winding up, and charging order applications. This technical role is ideal for individuals with extensive knowledge of Council Tax, Business Rates, and local authority benefit assessment. The successful candidate will also deliver and develop training plans for Revenues and Benefits staff, provide technical support to the Quality Assurance Programme, and identify service improvements to reduce delivery costs.
