Transerv is an organisation, based in Stafford, who specialise in the Installation and Commissioning of Power Transformers to every sector within the electrical supply industry. With exciting growth plans, there has never been a better time to join a fresh and energetic team.


We have several vacancies for the positions of Site Service Engineers, Commissioning Engineers and Site Technicians. These vacancies will involve a high level of travel, both in the UK and Overseas.


Commissioning Engineer:

The ideal person will have:

· A very comprehensive understanding of Power Transformers and On Load Tapchangers.

· Comprehensive on site HV test experience.

· National Grid Competent Person/Person Trained.

· Health and Safety aware.

· Proven report writing skills.

· Excellent communication skills.

· Good understanding of Microsoft Office Software.

· Thorough understanding of circuit and wiring diagrams.

· Comprehensive electrical industry experience.

· Customer focused.

Role:

To commission new and existing power transformers and associated ancillary equipment, including fault diagnosis. Produce commissioning reports and diagnosis reports. To assist the Site Managers and Site Technicians with site related duties, as necessary.


Site Engineer:

The ideal person will have:

· A thorough understanding of Power Transformers and ancillary equipment.

· First class man management capabilities.

· Excellent organisational skills

· National Grid Competent Person/Person Trained.

· Health and Safety aware.

· Proven report writing skills.

· Excellent communication skills.

· Good understanding of Microsoft Office Software.

· Ability to understand technical drawings.

· Comprehensive electrical industry experience.

· Customer focused.

Role:

To supervise and assist in the installation of power transformers and associated ancillary equipment. To manage site resource and equipment to ensure the safe and successful installation of the plant. Produce daily reports, conduct and document toolbox talks. Ensure the smooth running of all site work.


Site Technician:

The ideal person will have:

· A thorough understanding of Power Transformers and ancillary equipment.

· National Grid Competent Person/Person Trained.

· Health and Safety aware.

· Excellent communication Skills.

· Ability to understand technical drawings.

· Comprehensive electrical industry experience.

· Customer focused.

Role:

To install power transformers and associated ancillary equipment, working under the supervision of the Site Engineer.


Please note it is essential you are able to gain security clearance for these roles due to the nature of sites you will be working on. Also essential is a full, UK driving license.

All respondents to these positions must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
