Job Description
Purpose
Working with the Product Legislation Manager at Next you will manage the legislation relating to coordination of the legal compliance data management required for the sale of Beauty, Bodycare and Chemical Products both online and in-store in the UK, EU and the rest of the world (ROW). The role will cover all relevant products sold by Next plc, including:
* Next and Lipsy brand products
* Next joint venture branded products (e.g. Victoria’s Secret, Bath & Body Works)
* 3rd party branded products
You will demonstrate a passion for Compliance and Sustainability with the ability to perform in a highly dynamic and fast changing environment. You will have a desire to succeed and will have demonstrated your aptitude through previous experiences in work, life or academic studies.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate data required for all relevant GB REACH / EU REACH reporting and registrations including future REACH requirements across all relevant products sold via any Next platform
* Gather and collate ingredients data and information for Beauty, Bodycare and Chemical Products for REACH reporting from Next plc Supply Chain Partners
* Coordinate data required and produce regular tonnage data reports for GB REACH / EU REACH
* Research and disseminate changes in GB REACH / EU REACH legislative requirements
* Coordinate data required to ensure the legal compliance for the transportation and shipping of all relevant Next plc products classed as Dangerous Goods
* Research and disseminate changes in relevant Dangerous Goods legislative requirements
* Research and disseminate changes in relevant legislative requirements and coordinate data required to ensure the legal compliance of Beauty, Bodycare and Chemical Products on all Next websites
* Assist in the development of Beauty, Bodycare and Chemical Product manuals and documentation for all areas of the Next plc business
Skills & Experience
* Study or training in chemistry or related science subjects
* Highly literate in IT/Word/Excel/Google – excellent written, numeracy and Excel skills, methodical with high level of attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to research and disseminate information on regulatory changes
* Excellent analytical skills - able to quickly identify root cause and solutions
* Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
* Ability to perform a range of tasks at any one time and work to strict deadlines
* Inquisitive and confident / enjoys researching and summarising information on unknown subjects
