Teacher of Social Sciences - Secondary School (Morpeth)
Location: Morpeth, Northumberland
Contract: Temporary (Until Christmas 2025)
Hours: Full-time

Are you passionate about inspiring young minds in subjects like Psychology, Sociology, and Health & Social Care? Hays Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and high-achieving secondary school in Morpeth to recruit a Teacher of Social Sciences for a full-time role starting as soon as possible and continuing until the end of the autumn term (Christmas 2025).
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons in Social Sciences at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5
* Plan, prepare, and assess student work in line with curriculum standards.
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
* Support students in developing critical thinking, analytical, and research skills
* Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Social Sciences curriculum
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Specialism in Social Sciences (e.g., Psychology, Sociology, Health & Social Care)
* Experience teaching in UK secondary schools or sixth forms
* Excellent communication and classroom management skills
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply through Hays)
