Are you ready to take your engineering career to the next level? At NG Bailey Facilities Services, we are on the lookout for a passionate Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team at the Devonport Dockyard in Plymouth. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering hard service maintenance contracts, focusing on both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance for mechanical systems.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure all work aligns with method statements, risk assessments, and safety legislation, adhering to NG Bailey's health and safety systems.
* Deliver exceptional service by completing PPM tasks and reactive works within contractual Service Level Agreements to meet KPIs.
* Exhibit strong Health & Safety knowledge to guarantee the safe execution of all tasks.
* Conduct all operational activities in compliance with internal regulations and external legislation.
* Work independently and manage reactive works and small projects carried out by others.
This position offers a Monday to Friday schedule, totaling 40 hours per week, with a call-out rota (1-24) within an agile working framework.
What We’re Looking For:
We seek an experienced Mechanical Technician with a proactive approach to fault-finding in mechanical systems. You should be a personable engineer who can effectively communicate with clients about necessary steps to resolve issues.
* Level 3 Equivalent in a Mechanical Discipline, with BMS experience and multi-skilling capability or HVAC certificates.
* Experience in service, repair, and installation of HVAC equipment.
* Ability to perform small mechanical installations (pumps, valves, taps, etc.).
* Proficiency in M&E fault-finding.
* Experience with control panels, PPMs, and actuators.
* Familiarity with BMS systems (Trend, Honeywell, Siemens, etc.) for controlling heating and cooling, and resetting boilers.
* Knowledge of pumps, AHUs, FCUs, filters, belts, and pulleys.
