Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs required in Cambridgeshire. Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support.
We are on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to young people with SEN (Special Education Needs) / SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as SEMH needs (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We support children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties) and SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties). We are looking for SEN / SEND tutors who are passionate about transforming the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners in Cambridgeshire.
At Targeted Provision our mission is to raise the standard of educational support offered to vulnerable young people in the UK. You will be supported throughout every placement by our team of SEN / SEND Support Specialists, keeping the team around the child.
This role is ideal for qualified SEN / SEND teachers who prefer 1:1 tutoring with children and young people with a variety of learning needs, in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner to raise engagement and improve educational outcomes.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role:
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Support is delivered to learners referred by local authorities and schools
* Provide flexible and holistic trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
SEN / SEND Tutor tasks and responsibilities:
* Plan each tutoring/mentoring session
* Deliver holistic, engaging sessions that meet needs and advance educational and social-emotional development
* Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on progress
SEN / SEND Tutor requirements:
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other educational needs
* Safeguarding knowledge and DBS
* Enhanced DBS (we can help obtain this at cost if needed)
* Two professional references
* UK-based with right to work in the UK, including remote/online work
It is essential to promote health, safety and wellbeing of children and young people and follow safeguarding policies at all times.
SEN / SEND Tutor employment status:
* Engage with us as a Worker for short-term engagements
* Contract for service; paid via PAYE
* No guaranteed hours or expenses coverage
* Insurance covers work conducted for us
* Not a self-employed position
