Overview
We are seeking an experienced Band 5 Community Mental Health Nurse to join the Erewash Older Adult Community Mental Health Team. We are an experienced and professional team dedicated to providing excellent care for the Older Adult population. The post covers a broad geographical area and travel within the area is expected. The successful candidate will work within the MDT with support for learning and development.
Responsibilities
* Work with Service Users with both functional and organic illnesses, with the full support of the MDT.
* Carry a caseload of patients with varying needs, including depot injections.
* Use assessment, risk management and communication skills to build therapeutic relationships with Service Users and their families/carers.
* Work as part of a knowledgeable, supportive and forward-thinking team committed to learning and development.
* Collaborate with Voluntary partners, Primary Care and Our Care Homes project.
* Receive regular Clinical, Managerial and Peer supervision and have access to a wide range of development opportunities.
* Newly-qualified Nurses are welcome and a Preceptorship programme is offered.
* Be aware of and adhere to the Trust’s mileage expenses scheme where applicable.

Qualifications and requirements
* Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with current NMC registration.
* Band 5 Community Mental Health Nurse role within the Older Adult CMHT.
* Willingness to travel within the post area; occasional transport of Service Users may be required without compromising service needs.
* As an employer and sponsor licence holder, sponsorship via the Skilled Worker route is subject to eligibility criteria; details are available on GOV.UK. Without NHS Service, pay may start at the bottom of the pay band which may affect sponsorship eligibility.
