Police Officer Transferee – All Ranks at West Midlands Police

The area covers 348 square miles and serves nearly 2.8 million people, from Birmingham to the Staffordshire border.
Eligibility Criteria – All Ranks
* You must be transferring from a UK Home Office Police Force or BTP (or have previously served as substantive in a UK Home Office Force).
* Outstanding complaints or matters with PSD must be resolved before applying.
Eligibility Criteria – PC/DC
* You must be substantive OR within the last three months of your probation period.
Eligibility Criteria – Sergeant/Inspector/Chief Inspector/Superintendent/Ch Superintendent
* You must be substantive at the rank you are applying for with any required training and work‑based assessments complete and signed off.
Posting
All trans‑ferees will be posted into areas where the organisation requires them, considering qualifications, experience, and location preference while prioritise community needs.
Applicants with policing qualifications must provide photo evidence of certification.
Vetting
Successful applicants will be required to pass Recruitment Vetting and Counter‑Terrorism Clearance, including a full background and financial disclosure prior to commencing the role.
Medical
Appointment to this role is dependent upon successful medical checks, which may include a drugs test and, if required, a fitness test.
