Vehicle Technician/Mechanic Required in Wimbledon, South London

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established independent garage seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to enhance their dynamic team. If you have a background in independent vehicle repair and maintenance, this could be the ideal role for you.

Main duties of the Vehicle Technician role:
7. Repairing cylinder heads and gaskets
8. Replacing complex cambelts and gearboxes
9. Changing clutches
10. Undertaking class IV and VII MOT tests in line with DVSA standards if qualified
11. Servicing vehicles and undertaking general repairs such as brakes and suspension
12. Handling larger and heavier jobs within the workshop
13. Managing multiple makes and models from various manufacturers
Candidate requirements for the Vehicle Technician position:
14. Proven experience working in an independent garage environment
15. Strong technical skills with a track record of completing repairs efficiently
16. Competent and confident in diagnosing vehicle issues
17. Hold current MOT Tester certification or be willing to undertake MOT training
18. Passionate about delivering high-quality workmanship
19. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
