Dysart School is an Outstanding special school in Kingston, providing education for pupils aged 4 to 19 with a range of severe and complex learning difficulties.
To help meet the growing demand for high-quality SEN provision in the borough, Dysart also operates three satellite sites located alongside local mainstream schools - creating inclusive opportunities and expanding access to specialist support.
Its main site, located in Surbiton, is bright and well equipped to support the development of its pupils, including Early Years classrooms with outdoor learning spaces, an onsite work-related learning kitchen, an accessible swimming pool, sensory room, soft play and adventure play areas, and clearly defined outside spaces that support pupils’ learning and self-regulation.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Class Teacher with TLR responsibility to join our team. This role offers a combination of classroom teaching and additional leadership responsibilities, allowing you to have a real impact on the school’s development.
Key Responsibilities:
•Deliver high-quality teaching to meet the diverse needs of pupils.
•Undertake additional leadership or coordination responsibilities linked to the TLR allowance.
•Support colleagues and contribute to the development of teaching and learning across the school.
•Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all pupils.
•Contribute to school initiatives and activities to support overall school improvement.
Key Requirements:
•Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience or interest in teaching pupils with special educational needs (SEN).
•Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
•Ability to work collaboratively with staff, pupils, parents, and external agencies.
•Commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive, and nurturing learning environment.
•Flexibility, resilience, and a dedication to achieving positive outcomes for pupils with complex learning needs.
