School Crossing Patrol Officer (Neath Abbey)

Hours: 10 hours per week, 2 hours per day (Term Time Only)
Location of post: Longford Road, Neath Abbey
The post requires the gathering and safe road crossing of pedestrians whilst crossing the road at or near the school.

The main duties of the post:
* The gathering of school pedestrians in preparation for road crossing.
* The control and direction of the pedestrians when gathered.
* The stopping of traffic when necessary
* Supervision of the pedestrians when crossing
* The reporting of matters connected with their duties.
You will have experience in/of.
Work Experience
* Previous experience working with road safety issues.
* Previous experience working with members of the public – both children and adults
Abilities
* Ability to communicate with others.
* Ability to work to with minimum supervision.
* Ability to work to strict times and guidelines.
