💙 The Senior Care Assistant Role
As a Senior Care Assistant, you’ll play a key part in leading shifts and ensuring residents receive outstanding, person-centred care.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Supporting residents with personal care and daily living
2. Administering or supporting with medication (where trained)
3. Leading shifts and guiding Care Assistants on duty
4. Promoting independence, dignity, and choice at all times
5. Providing specialist support to residents living with dementia and mental health needs
6. Keeping clear, accurate care records
7. Communicating effectively with families and healthcare professionals
👀 What We’re Looking For in a Senior Care Assistant
We’d love to hear from you if you:
8. Have previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant (or strong experience ready for the step up)
9. Have experience working with dementia and/or mental health
10. Hold (or are working towards) an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care
11. Are confident leading a shift and supporting other staff
12. Are compassionate, patient, and reliable
13. Can be flexible, including occasional night shifts when required
