Our client is an established independent practice of town planners and architectural designers, based in Newry. The company is seeking an experienced town planner to help in the preparation, submission and handling of planning applications and appeals.
The successful candidate will also be expected to assist in the resolution of planning enforcement matters and guide landowners through the local development plan reviews presently underway. There may be a requirement to represent clients at planning committee meetings, so occasional out of hours work may be required.
Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience, ideally 3-4 years plus however.
Must be chartered or working towards chartership
The company is offering a competitive salary, a pension scheme and a perfect working environment in modern premises. Entry level salary will be a minimum 35k per annum but candidates with greater experience can expect higher.
The role is office-based but with some opportunities for home working. The company is also open to a candidate with greater experience but who may not be able to commit to a 5-day week.
