Dales Fabrications is a long-standing, family-owned manufacturing business based in Ilkeston, supplying bespoke aluminium cladding systems to the UK construction industry. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Production Processor to join our in-house technical team. This role is ideally suited to a recent graduate or early-career professional with a relevant qualification who is looking to apply their skills in a practical, design-to-manufacture environment.
The Role
Working closely with our Project Management and Production teams, you will be responsible for translating approved designs into accurate manufacturing information. This is a hands‑on technical role that offers real responsibility, variety, and the opportunity to see your work progress from screen to finished product.
Key responsibilities include:
* Producing detailed manufacturing drawings from approved system designs
* Preparing component details for punching, folding, and fabrication
* Working with Bills of Materials and ensuring drawings align with project requirements
* Liaising with internal departments to resolve technical queries
* Supporting continuous improvement within our production processes
About You
We’re looking for someone at the start of their career who is keen to learn, detail‑focused, and enjoys problem‑solving.
You are likely to have:
* A recent qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. engineering, manufacturing, product design, construction technology or similar)
* Strong IT and CAD skills (training on our systems will be provided)
* A logical and methodical approach with good attention to detail
* The confidence to work collaboratively across departments
* A positive attitude and willingness to develop within a growing business
