Role Overview
We're seeking a motivatedmGrad 1-5 Geo-Environmental Engineer to join VHE Construction, one of the UK's leading specialists in earthworks, remediation, and enabling works.
As part of a forward-thinking team, you'll support the investigation, assessment, and remediation of contaminated land across a range of infrastructure and brownfield regeneration projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about environmental improvement and sustainable construction, looking to develop within a well-respected contractor known for its technical excellence and collaborative culture.
Responsibilities
* Plan, coordinate, and execute site investigations (including soil, groundwater, and gas monitoring)
* Prepare and review factual and interpretative reports, risk assessments, and remediation strategies
* Supervise contractors during site works, ensuring health, safety, and environmental compliance
* Conduct sampling, logging, and in-situ testing to assess contamination and ground conditions
* Liaise with clients, consultants, and project managers to deliver accurate, timely technical input
* Assist in the development and implementation of remediation methodologies and verification works
* Support the environmental monitoring and reporting requirements throughout the project lifecycle
What We're Looking For
* Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Geotechnical Engineering, or related discipline
* Proven experience in geo-environmental investigation, remediation, or contaminated land assessment
* Strong understanding of ground conditions, laboratory analysis, and environmental legislation
* Competent in writing technical reports and communicating findings clearly to clients and teams
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites nationwide
* A proactive, problem-solving mindset with attention to safety and quality
