Are you ready to make a difference in the life sciences industry? Join our dynamic team in Cramlington, where we empower our customers to create a healthier, cleaner, and safer world! We are on the lookout for a dedicated Material Handler - Raw Material Handler to support our production operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming raw materials against documentation.
Label, store, and organise raw materials according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and storage requirements.
Issue raw materials to production based on work orders and batch records.
Accurately record material movements using inventory systems or manual logs.
Maintain inventory accuracy and support cycle counts.
Ensure materials are handled in compliance with Good Manufacturing practises (GMP), Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), and safety standards.
Operate material handling equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.) if certified.
Keep raw material storage areas clean and organised.
Identify and report damaged, expired, or non-conforming materials.
Support audits and inspections as required.
Follow First In, First Out (FIFO) and First Expired, First Out (FEFO) inventory practises.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in material handling, warehousing, or manufacturing preferred.
Forklift or pallet jack certification preferred, or a willingness to obtain.
Knowledge of GMP or regulated environments is an advantage.
Basic computer and documentation skills.Skills & Competencies:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organisational skills.
Ability to follow SOPs and work instructions.
Team-oriented with good communication skills.
Capability to lift and move materials (typically up to 40-50 lbs).
Work Environment:
Warehouse or manufacturing setting.
May require Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety shoes, gloves, gowns, etc.
This is a physical role involving standing, walking, and manual handling.
