Calderdale Vision 2034 connects us all as one place. Our aim is to be an enterprising place, full of opportunity, where we can all live a larger life. We strive for a diverse and inclusive environment and encourage applications from people who share our commitment to challenge inequality and promote diversity across Calderdale.
Calderdale Council’s Children’s Services have been judged by Ofsted as ‘Good’ with outstanding features across our services. We have fantastic opportunities in Children’s Social Care and are looking for passionate and committed people who can make a meaningful difference to our children and contribute to our continuing improvement journey.
Calderdale is a beautiful metropolitan borough in the heart of the Yorkshire Pennines, situated between Manchester and Leeds. We offer a flexible working approach, including a combination of office-based and home working where appropriate to individual needs, and a systemic practice model that values relationships and collaboration.
We pride ourselves on the support we provide to all our social workers, offering continued growth and development through our Progression Pathway and a culture of learning and reflection. Quality reflective supervision is provided regularly as part of our learning culture, and staff are encouraged to join departmental groups and forums (e.g., BAME, LGBTQ and Disability Forum).
We maintain low caseloads to enable practitioners to work effectively and robustly. Calderdale is a place where you can make a difference.
