Project Worker 2 - Family Support Worker
The successful candidate will work alongside our family support and early years teams providing support where and when it is required.You will work closely with parents, children, early years staff, and health professionals supporting children 0 - 4 years old and their families.
Responsibilities
* Leading the programmes.
* Organising creche support.
* Building parental capacity, supporting parents respectfully to engage them in theirchild’s learning and development through parent and children’s sessions.
* Working as part of a team to support positive parenting.
* Providing support to promote inclusion and development.
* Working closely with parents, early years staff, and health professionals.
* Helping families navigate services and access the right support at the right time.
* Facilitating programmes for parents and parent and child together.

Skills and Qualifications
* Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Childcare, Learning and Development or a relatedfield, or a qualification above this, e.g. Degree in Early Childhood Studies or arelated field.
* Demonstrable experience of working with children 0-4 in a preschool setting.
* Relevant demonstrable experience working directly with families and youngchildren in a supportive role.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engagesensitively and effectively.
* Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and early intervention approaches.
* Hold a full UK driving licence, business insurance and access to a car for workpurposes (this criteria will be waived for candidates with a disability who candemonstrate alternative means of meeting the mobility requirements of thepost).
* Experience of delivering parenting programmes
Further Information
Contract: Funded until 30 June 2026 (May be extended subject to funding).Salary: £27,573 - £36,389.29 (FTE) per annum. Please note appointment is usually at the first point of the scale, hourly Rate £14.33.
