Job Description
We are currently seeking an Account Handler to join our friendly team at our Hoddesdon site on a 12 month fixed term basis!
Salary: £26,000 per annum.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30-15:30 or 08:15-16:15 or 09:00-17:00.
As an Account Handler you will be the first point of contact for clients to address/resolve queries and issues as they arise.
Key Duties of an Account Handler:
- To respond professionally, promptly and with precision to requests and queries from the Client.
- Mitigate the impact of any errorsby reporting potential claims at the earliest opportunity.
- Generate Daily / Weekly / Monthly Service and compliance reports.
- Follow established procedures and protocols regarding all loads to ensure the integrity of the load and our brand.
- Resolve any identified discrepancies in documentation before sending to clients.
- Maintain client records and data in line with internal systems and protocols.
- Maintain and monitor Daily Order Audits.
- Plan Export order collections through to Haulier Quotes and Confirmations.
- Maintain Export Control Tools ensuring HMRC compliance of Information & Communication for Export Hauliers.
- Maintain cost control with Special Delivery Orders.
- Liaise with personnel across different levels (Shift Managers, Transport Coordinators, Customer Service & Client Support Colleagues).
- Ensure the smooth running of assigned portfolio on a day to day basis including order chasing and delivery issue resolution.
Qualifications
- Customer service mentality.
- Proficient in computer literacy including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Good geographical knowledge.
- Ability to work without direct supervision.
- Effectively prioritise work load in order to meet set deadlines.
