Social Media Assistant
Mabel & Fox might be small, but we certainly pack a punch We are a rapidly growing independent online retailer specialising in Baby & Toddler essentials. Based in South Norwich and established by a Mum on maternity leave in 2015, we have since grown rapidly and have an amazing team of 18 working from our Warehouse & Offices in Mulbarton & Ashwellthorpe. Due to recent growth, we are now looking for a talented and self-motivated individual to join our successful business.
This newly created position is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their marketing career, with the responsibility of shaping our brand presence acorss social media platforms, particularly TikTok – a new and exciting space for us. You'll be confident on camera, have a strong grasp of digital trends, and be eager to connect with our engaged community of parents and caregivers.
The key responsibilities of the positioned are outline below:
Social Media;
* Lead our social media channels (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest) - From content planning to execution.
* Create engaging, on-brand content including reels, Tik Toks, stories, posts, and graphics that inspire and connect with parents.
* Scheduling & Publishing - Manage posting schedules across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, and other platforms to a preapproved schedule.
* Confidently appear on camera for TikTok and Instagram content, helping bring our products and brand to life.
* Manage community engagement – Reply to comments, DMs, and tagged posts to nurture loyal customer relationships.
* Spot and act on trends in the parenting, lifestyle, and social media space.
* Track performance and provide regular insights to help us grow reach, engagement, and sales.
* Customer Engagement Growth - Implement strategies to increase followers, email subscribers, and community participation.
* Conversion Support - Work with marketing to turn social engagement into sales (e.g. product bundles, limited time offers, storytelling).
* Data-Driven Improvements - Use analytics to recommend adjustments in content strategy to boost ROI.
Marketing;
* Assist with paid advertising – Support creative ideas for Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok ads.
* Collaborate on influencer and partnership campaigns, including outreach and relationship management working with other Marketing executives.
* Contribute to content writing for blogs, guides, and website updates, ensuring SEO best practices are considered.
* Support seasonal campaigns and promotions, helping brainstorm and deliver exciting marketing initiatives, and organising photoshoots for promotional launch content.
* Market Research - Keep an eye on competitor activity, baby product trends, and customer behaviour to spot new opportunities.
* Brand Awareness - Help brainstorm and execute creative campaigns that get Mabel & Fox in front of new audiences.
* Content Repurposing - Reuse blog content for social posts, emails, and ads to maximize reach.
What We're Looking For...
We'd love to hear from you if you have the following:
* Previous experience in a social media, marketing, or content creation role.
* Understanding of digital platforms, particularly TikTok, Instagram & Facebook.
* A creative thinker with a passion for storytelling through digital platforms.
* Comfortable and confident appearing on camera and engaging with audiences.
* Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects.
* Knowledge of email marketing and design tools (e.g. Canva, Mailchimp, Graphic Design Tools & Scheduling Apps) is advantageous.
* Ability to effectively communicate with multiple departments across the business.
* Excited to work in a small, growing team where your ideas can make a real impact.
* Passion for baby, parenting, or lifestyle brands is a plus.

The position will be Monday – Friday 9-5pm and will require you to be based across both the Ashwellthorpe and Mulbarton offices.

Pay: £24,500.00-£26,000.00 per year
