Join Our Team as a Residential Childcare Support Worker!

Leeds LCS is on the lookout for committed and enthusiastic Residential Childcare Support Workers to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time role, offering 35 hours per week plus sleep-in shifts, with the potential to earn up to £27,983.80!
About the Role
As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in helping young people transition towards independence. Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing practical support and guidance in line with individual care plans.
* Engaging, motivating, and encouraging young people in their flats or shared houses.
* Maintaining positive relationships with young people, staff, and professionals through effective communication.
* Supporting young people in Education, Employment, and Training, ensuring their progress is documented.
* Building community links with educational provisions, sports centers, and youth clubs.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* Flexibility in your availability for shift work, including sleep-in nights, evenings, and weekends.
* A Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma, NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, or a willingness to study towards this qualification.
* Experience working with attachment and trauma, as well as challenging behavior or mental health issues (desirable).
* An understanding of the challenges faced by young people in care.
* A full driving license and access to a vehicle (desirable), though good public transport links are available.
* Intermediate computer skills.
Working Conditions
This role involves working on a rota basis, which may include evenings and weekends. Flexibility in your schedule is essential to meet the needs of the young people we support.
