About the Role:
We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and proactive female Community Mental Health Support Worker to support a young lady living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) who lives in the S35 area of Sheffield. The successful applicants must have a UK Driving Licence & Own a Vehicle. (This post is exempt under the Equality Act – Schedule 9, Part 1. Female applicants only.)
This is a community-based role working on a 1:1 basis, involving long-day shifts on a consistent rota (including Saturdays and Sundays).
Your Key Responsibilities:
1. Supporting the client’s mental wellbeing, independence, and daily living needs, i.e. personal care, mobility, medication administration and cooking.
2. Engaging in community activities, especially sports and social outings
3. Assisting with stoma care (full training provided)
4. Driving the client in her own vehicle to attend appointments, activities, or events
5. Building professional and respectful relationships with the client, her family, and external care professionals
About You:
6. You are empathetic, professional, punctual, and committed to providing high-quality care
7. You are able to form strong, professional boundaries while offering emotional and practical support
8. You hold a UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work
9. You are interested in developing or enhancing your skills in the care and mental health sector
10. You are willing to work weekends and follow a consistent shift pattern
