Overview
We're seeking Project Technical Leads that are interested in supporting our work across the regulated water industry. With AMP8 underway, there are opportunities to be an important part of our growth plans in Birmingham, Redditch, Shrewsbury & Derby. Our 2025 water strategy is brimming with opportunities, and you'll be at the forefront, tackling iconic projects. You will:
* Form and lead multidisciplinary project teams whilst coordinating design and project delivery
* Work on exciting water projects that push boundaries and make a significant impact
* Partner with top water clients across the UK, shaping the future of the industry
Responsibilities
* Coordinate upfront design and project delivery, working closely with Project Managers and technical experts across multidisciplinary teams
* Identify innovative and sustainable solutions and ensure delivery of best value and client service excellence
* Monitor quality, compliance and efficiency of project deliverables
* Lead in the design and implementation of principles to improve health, safety and wellbeing outcomes in project design
* Ensure technical resources are assigned and supported
* Contribute to development of marketing and business development activity
* Participate in projects across water sector areas including clean water treatment and networks, wastewater treatment, wastewater networks, flooding and urban drainage
About the projects and team
Our national design teams work on large partnership initiatives such as Hull and East Riding's Living with Water partnership, and award-winning projects such as the Clifton Integrated Constructed Wetland. Locally, this includes Welsh Water's AMP 8 Engineering Consultancy Framework, Thames Water's Asset, Capital & Engineering framework and Wessex Water's AMP 8 Capital Delivery Partnership.
Qualifications
* Experience in a similar role within the water sector or other relevant regulated industry
* Relevant degree (or equivalent)
* Ideally Chartered or a member of a relevant engineering institution (e.g., ICE); support can be provided to achieve this if required
