Job Details: Case Worker - Dependency and Recovery

Waythrough launched in October 2024 following the merger of Humankind and Richmond Fellowship. Our vision is to break down barriers that prevent people from accessing support to live a valued life. We address poverty and disadvantage through mental health, drug and alcohol support, housing, and related services.

We operate nearly 200 services across England with almost 3,500 staff and volunteers, supporting around 125,000 people annually.

As we integrate our systems and processes following the merger, some branding may still reflect 'Humankind'. We appreciate your patience during this transition.

Role: Case Worker - Dependency and Recovery

Working hours: 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday

Location: The role requires a regional office base with travel across the region, covering the North Yorkshire Area. Wherever possible, a location close to your home address will be provided.

About the role

This position is part of an exciting partnership within the Probation Dependency and Recovery service led by Ingeus. The service supports 18+ male service users on community orders and post-release licenses within the community probation system.

Recovery Navigators work in outcome-focused environments, providing bespoke case management, one-to-one support, and face-to-face interventions to assess health and lifestyle risks, build trust, and motivate individuals to manage their dependency and recovery needs. They support engagement with treatment services and maintain motivation for change, working in partnership with various agencies including senior recovery teams, probation officers, police, and community support services.

Key duties include:

* Maintaining professional relationships with Responsible Probation Officers (ROs) to support individuals through interventions.
* Managing 1-2-1 relationships and providing continuity of contact.
* Conducting initial assessments to determine support needs.
* Developing and reviewing individual action plans.
* Working with individuals across varying levels of need and complexity.
* Proactively managing caseloads in line with referrals and support levels.
* Providing support, advocacy, and guidance to address individual needs.
