KEY HIGHLIGHTS
* £575 - £600 per day (DOE)

ABOUT THE CLIENT
Our client is delivering user-centred digital services within a high-profile public sector environment, focused on improving accessibility and usability across critical government platforms. They are committed to designing services that are simple, clear and effective for end users. Due to ongoing programme demand, they are seeking an experienced Content Designer with public sector experience to support delivery across digital services.
As a Lead Product Manager, you will own the vision, mission, and roadmap for your product, which may be a front-facing digital service or an internal case management system. You will guide your team through all stages of product delivery—from Discovery to Live service—ensuring products meet both user needs and business objectives. You will also support the development of more junior product team members and work closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment with organisational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Define, communicate, and evolve the product vision and roadmap to align with user needs and business objectives. Act as the champion for your product, clearly articulating goals, purpose, and success metrics. Ensure all products comply with Government Service Standards and best practices. Represent the voice of the user, incorporating research insights and feedback to drive continuous improvement. Keep stakeholders and delivery teams informed of progress and promote adoption of the product. Support operational and strategic planning, including process design and lifecycle management. Lead problem-solving efforts, anticipate potential issues, and coordinate solutions across teams.
Skills and Experience:
* Agile Expertise: Skilled in selecting and applying delivery approaches, prioritising work, measuring outcomes, and managing to MVP.
* Product Lifecycle Management: Ability to navigate and manage all stages of the product lifecycle while ensuring alignment with standards.
* Operational Oversight: Experience designing, managing, and optimising operational processes throughout a product’s lifecycle.
* Strategic Thinking: Capable of setting product strategy, gaining organisational buy‑in, and developing solutions with limited information.
* User‑Centred Focus: Strong understanding of user needs, able to prioritise and deliver solutions that provide measurable impact.
* Team Leadership: Experienced in mentoring and upskilling junior product managers or associates.
Desired Qualifications:
Proven track record delivering government digital services in accordance with Government Service Standards. Strong communication skills, able to engage with stakeholders, teams, and clients effectively. Demonstrated experience creating product vision, mission, and roadmap. Passionate about building products that balance user needs with business objectives.
