This is registered as a 6 bedded Children’s Home and is in the heart of a residential community. The home is an established service and is tailored to a high standard, to provide support for children and young people between the ages of 8-19. As the Registered manager you will play a vital role in advocating and supporting children and young people with learning disabilities, Autism, ADHD, sensory impairment, and associated behavioural challenges and/or complex care needs. The home is part of transitional pathway planning, and our aim is to support children into foster care, additional residential if required or into adult services when appropriate. The aim is to work with children and young people to support them in all aspects of their care, working towards agreed outcomes which are set to focus the personal development of children in areas which present barriers to enabling successful transitions into future placements or adult life.

As a leader, it is paramount to upskill staff supporting in the ability to maintain the safety of the home, help young people develop life skills, build positive relationships, promote independence, liaise with professionals and families and ensure the young people are well cared for and thriving to be the *best version of themselves! *
A lot of emphasis is put on the children having fun and enjoying life to the maximum, with activities planned around their individual needs. We pride ourselves in maintaining relationships and working closely with new foster carers/parents, and welcome ideas and involvement from all key professionals.

To ensure that effective records are maintained in accordance with Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and associated Regulations and Standards
To be responsible for ensuring that effective rotas are prepared and followed.
To be the lead for the on-call rota as and when required.
To work in conjunction with the Operations and Recruitment Manager to ensure staffing levels are maintained at all times in line with safer recruitment and Ofsted requirements.
To Work effectively with Commissioning Partners, Police, LSCB, Public Health and Ofsted etc.

Do you hold Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification).
