We are hiring a Finance Director to play a pivotal role in driving the financial success and growth of the company. Reporting directly to the Managing Director UK&I, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the business and providing key insights and recommendations to support decision-making processes. Scope of the Role:
The Finance Director is a crucial strategic and operational role at the heart of a business, who will take full responsibility for all financial aspects of the company’s business. This involves analysing financial performance, advising the senior leadership team on these findings and implementing recommendations to achieve the most profitable results for the business, as well as optimising cash flow.

Your Key Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Full responsibility for overseeing the finance function, which includes Financial Control, Treasury, Tax, FP&A, BI and Shared Services.
2. Leads all financial planning and analysis (FP&A) including forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
3. Identify, implement & lead efficient financial and operational processes to achieve sustainable growth.
4. Responsible for Financial Controls and Reporting – Cognos submission of monthly results as well as statutory accounts.
5. Oversee relationships with external audit, internal audit, pension scheme trustees and banks.
6. Support Head of Shared Services (direct report) to drive down overdue debt and put in processes to mitigate new overdues.
7. Working capital management on managing inventory and owning 13- week cash flow forecast.
8. Balance sheets sign off to ensure UK and Ireland balance sheets are accurate and all working capital movements clarified.
9. Lead the monthly business review to Group CEO and CFO, as well as UK Exec.
10. Produce high-level MI to support key decision-making across the business.
11. Support the leadership team in terms of business development, modelling and strategic growth opportunities.
12. Advances strategies to increase return on investment and profitability.
13. Accountable for all cash-flow, reconciliations, VAT, Tax and GL activity.
14. Lead Finance transformation with upgraded ERP implementation, ensuring Finance preparedness for the change and process improvement.
15. Design and implement smart and simple ways of ‘financial storytelling’.
16. Manage relationships & contractual agreements with external partners & suppliers.
17. Involvement with presenting financial reports to executives, board members, investors, and other stakeholders.
18. Ensure compliance to UK and Ireland accounting principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs) for Group reporting.
19. Builds and manages monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts.
Requirements
20. Technically highly competent, with proven commercial acumen and a track record of business partnering.
21. Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with extensive finance leadership experience.
22. Proven experience working within an SME/Private Equity business.
23. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills to drive informed decision-making.
24. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
25. Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a finance team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
26. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, providing financial insights and recommendations.
