About the role: We are looking to recruit a permanent, full-time Finance Manager based in Manchester. The Finance Manager will support the Group Financial Controller and will be responsible for preparing management accounts, statutory accounts, and assisting with budgeting, forecasting and cash management, together with working with the team to drive process changes and systems improvements. Key areas of responsibility: Preparation and detailed analysis of monthly management accounts to Group timescales, including comparisons to prior year, budget, forecasts and commentary. Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts. Preparation of year-end statutory accounts, including disclosure notes, and managing the audit. Assist with corporation tax returns, including R&D tax credit claims. Understand the Netsuite stock system and GRNI reporting, calculate stock provisions and stock uplift and work with the team to make improvements. Calculate Group management recharges for the interim and year-end accounts. Assist the Group Reporting function where necessary. Communication and analysis of appropriate, timely and regular financial reporting to budget owners and supporting business partner relationships. Assist with Group cash reporting, forecasting and management. Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts, working closely with Group Reporting and budget owners. Ensure the financials comply with IFRS reporting standards and be mindful of new standards which need to be adopted. Ad-hoc tasks as required.
