Trevett Services are pleased to be working with an international commercial Real Estate consultancy to recruit for a Lift Engineering Manager / Vertical Transportation Consultant. Working within the Technical Services team which support the building management function, you will have responsibility for carrying out the auditing and inspection of lifts and escalators within a corporate office environment.
The purpose of the role is to provide technical support for lift and escalator assets on a multi-site, multi-client basis. Providing maintenance management via regular audits across Central London, and nationally where required, and advising Facilities Managers and Building Managers on vertical transportation matters.
The main duties of the position are:
Complete engineering site surveys & audit reports.
Complete life cycle / Planned Preventative Maintenance reports to an agreed format.
Manage the agreed forecasts and personal financial targets.
Manage internal and external relationships including Client, local authorities, service providers and statutory bodies.
Engage with clients in support of existing and new ongoing and ad-hoc instructions
Establish value for money strategies for delivering the technical management service.
Provide technical support & advice to the Asset services team Nationally.
Review professional guidance, industry guidelines and regulations providing guidance and support to asset services and clients, when change impacts the managed portfolio.
Support presentations to clients and colleagues as necessary
Provide technical support to the Asset services team and client base.
Deliver personal financial targets to the defined service levels, on time.
Manage service providers and monitor performance against contracted SLAs and KPIs.
Co-ordinate the production of performance reports, carry out analysis of the results and take appropriate action to ensure continuous improvement is achieved.
Qualifications for the post include:
Appropriate Engineering qualification. (Ideally degree and/or HND/HNC)
EAL NVQ Unit EOR202 Basic Lift Safety or equivalent (essential)
The attributes to be successful in the role include:
Self-Motivated with excellent Time Management Skills.
Commercial awareness from experience and/or qualification.
Experience of new build development through to management (construction site experience an advantage).
Good Written and Verbal Communication Skills & attention to detail.
IT skills inc. Word, Excel to intermediate level.
Knowledge of Output Specifications.
Management of Performance based contracts.
Defects / warranty management.
Knowledge of relevant CIBSE guidelines, BS EN standards and Statutory Regulations
Relevant Engineering experience.
