Robert Half are working on behalf of a well-established organisation to recruit an Assistant Financial Controller. This is a full-time, permanent position based on the outskirts of Glasgow with a hybrid working model. Role This is a pivotal role supporting the Financial Controller in delivering accurate financial reporting, managing month-end processes, and ensuring robust financial controls. You'll also play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, and providing insightful analysis to support strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and board packs Lead on balance sheet reconciliations and ensure integrity of financial data Support budgeting and forecasting cycles, working closely with department heads Drive improvements in financial processes and internal controls Assist with year-end audit and statutory accounts preparation Provide financial analysis and commentary to support business performance Mentor and support junior finance team members Skills and Experience Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience in a similar role Excellent Excel and financial systems skills Proactive, detail-oriented, and confident in working with senior stakeholders Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment Salary & Benefits £48,000-£60,000 (Dependent upon experience, qualifications and training) Clear progression path to Financial Controller Hybrid working and flexible hours Supportive and collaborative team culture Opportunity to make a real impact in a growing business Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
