Are you passionate about environmental sustainability and eager to make a meaningful impact in the field of flood risk management? We are seeking a dedicated and ambitious Flood Risk Consultant to join a friendly team based near Cardiff.
As an Assistant Flood Risk Consultant, your key responsibilities will include:
1. Conducting flood risk surveys for planning, property mitigation, and assessment purposes.
2. Undertaking climate change flood risk analysis at site-specific levels.
3. Preparing detailed flood risk assessments, drainage strategies, and flood management plans, including SAB applications.
4. Interpreting and analyzing flood risk data using GIS platforms.
5. Developing and maintaining in-house flood risk databases.
6. Mentoring and supporting junior team members.
7. Participating in team meetings and contributing to innovative business strategies.
8. Conducting site visits across the local area.
Candidates are required to have a BSc or MSc in a relevant field such as Geography, Civil Engineering, or Environmental Science, with experience in completing Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs), flood mitigation reports, or SAB applications. Experience using GIS software for data analysis and a valid driving license are also required.
